   This piece was conceived as part of Atlanta-based Art House Galleries Sketchbook Project: Everyone we Know where several hundred artists received identical moleskin sketchbooks and were to fill them at their discretion. The collection of artist books is set to travel around the country to various museums and galleries collectively. I took this opportunity to play on the ideas of the sympathetically magical nature of the value of an autograph and combined that with a dose of the absurd in collecting autographs of just random persons, not necessarily of any note. Although there is nothing keeping this portfolio of autographs from becoming genuinely valuable in the future, signatures were collected without discretion.

 The preface reads:

    Under the stated theme of Everyone We Know, twenty-seven autographs were collected from persons encountered on January 20th, 2009. To better assist the future owner of this portfolio in determining the value of its content, signatories were asked to state their current, or likely reason for being of historical note.
